Welcome to Japanese Automotive Service

Japanese Automotive Service is a full-service automotive repair and maintenance facility specializing in Asian makes, including Acura, Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Kia. Some highperfomce models  We also maintain and repair select domestic vehicles.

Vehicle Service Limitations & Project Vehicles

Japanese Automotive Service specializes in the service and repair of Japanese and Asian vehicles. Like every professional repair facility, there are limits to the vehicles and systems we are properly equipped, trained, and experienced to service.

Although a vehicle may carry a Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, or Kia nameplate, we do not service every model or configuration produced by those manufacturers. Certain models may incorporate European-sourced, European-designed, or European-influenced engines, transmissions, electronics, technology, or platforms that fall outside our normal area of expertise.

When a vehicle or repair falls outside our expertise, we will decline the work rather than experiment with a customer’s vehicle or accept a vehicle simply to send unfamiliar work to another repair facility.

We do utilize trusted local specialists for certain services that are intentionally part of our normal repair process. For example, our partner for transmission rebuilding and specialized transmission work is Adams Columbus Transmission, while tire and alignment services are performed by Boyd’s Tire & Service. These are established relationships with trusted specialists for specific services — not a substitute for our own experience with the vehicle.

Older, Classic & JDM Vehicles

Older, classic, modified, and Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles are considered project vehicles and may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

These vehicles often require additional diagnostic and research time because of their age, modifications, previous repairs, limited technical information, and parts availability. Project vehicles may require extended time at our facility while parts are located, information is researched, or repairs are completed.

Our philosophy is simple: If we don’t believe we are the right shop for your particular vehicle or repair, we will tell you.

Please provide the year, make, model, VIN or chassis number, and a description of the requested work so we can determine whether your vehicle is a good fit for our shop.

Japanese Automotive Service reserves the right to decline vehicles or repairs that fall outside our experience, equipment, technical information, or parts support.

Estimates

We provide estimates before any work is performed. To request an estimate, simply text us at 614-664-3506 with your name, your vehicle’s license plate number (or VIN), and a brief description of the service or repair you need.

Waiting Appointments

For your convenience, you are welcome to wait for simple maintenance services by appointment only. We are unable to accommodate walk-in wait appointments, as scheduled appointments receive priority.
