Some models use specialty engines, transmissions, electronics, technology, or platforms that fall outside our normal training, equipment, technical information, or parts support.
We evaluate these vehicles individually. If we believe another facility is better equipped for your particular vehicle or repair, we will let you know before accepting the work.
For certain specialized services that are intentionally part of our normal repair process, we work with established local specialists. Adams Columbus Transmission handles transmission rebuilding and specialized transmission work, while Boyd’s Tire & Service assists us with tire and alignment services.

Older, Classic, Modified & JDM Vehicles
Vehicles over 10 years old, as well as classic, modified, and Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles, may require additional time and are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Older vehicles can sometimes cost more to repair than newer vehicles requiring the same basic repair.
This is especially true in Ohio because years of exposure to winter road salt and deicing chemicals can cause significant corrosion. Nuts, bolts, brake and fuel lines, exhaust components, suspension parts, fittings, and other hardware can become rusted or seized.
Age can also cause plastic connectors and clips to become brittle, rubber hoses and seals to deteriorate, and wiring to become fragile. Previous repairs and modifications can create additional complications, and some replacement parts may be difficult to locate or discontinued.
A repair that comes apart normally on a newer vehicle may require substantially more labor on an older vehicle. Rusted hardware may need to be heated, cut, drilled, extracted, or replaced, and additional components may require replacement during normal disassembly.
Published labor times generally assume components are in normal, serviceable condition and may not account for excessive corrosion, seized hardware, deterioration, previous repairs, or modifications.
